The Pic du Midi de Bigorre (2877m), part of the French Tourmalet ski area has decided to open its doors for the week starting on the 6th May. They claim another 30cm of fresh over the weekend to add to the 15 meters of snowfall this season
The cable car to the summit will allow expert skiers and snowboarders to make a few last runs. 1000 meters of vertical awaits and it is apparently still possible to ski down to Barèges and Artigues. Season ticket holders will also be able to use the lift and those with the N'PY No Souci card can ski for just 24€. Otherwise usual tarrifs apply. The lift closes on the 12th May.
